ROMP 19 was a resounding success!

On behalf of Harvest Care Centre and the ROMP Organising Committee, we would like to thank you. ROMP 19 would not have been a success without your strong support / participation.

In line with ROMP’s tagline #DreamItBigger, this year, for the first time, we conducted our event at Our Tampines Hub, having outgrown our previous venue at MOE (Evans) Stadium. We also introduced competitive inclusivity sports categories in basketball, soccer and badminton, and involved persons with disabilities in our volunteering activities. This year, we also added table tennis as a new category which received a very encouraging response.

We continues to believe that sports is for everyone, regardless of race, socio-economic background or physical and intellectual abilities, and that everyone has the opportunity to dream it bigger and be given the avenue to express their passion for what they love.

We have exciting plans going forward. One of them is to launch our WAD’s IN programme, where sports team members and volunteers of HCC’s W.A.D! Club will regularly train and play with athletes with intellectual disabilities from Special Olympics. The programme will start with weekly basketball training sessions from early 2020.

Thank you for helping us to be able to dream it bigger at ROMP 19, and we hope to work with you again next year! / We hope to have you participating with us again next year!
